Some weddings are beautiful. Some weddings are emotional. And then there are weddings like Kirstyn and Tristan’s — the kind that feel heaven sent from the very beginning.
As a wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of witnessing countless love stories, but this one was deeply personal to me. I have known Kirstyn’s mother since elementary school and her father since high school, so documenting this day felt less like “work” and more like being entrusted with a sacred family chapter. Watching their daughter marry the man of her dreams was something I will never forget.

The Wachesaw Plantation Club lies nestled in the heart of Murrell’s Inlet, South Carolina, and was the perfect setting for their wedding day. The salty marsh air drifted softly through the towering oaks, Spanish moss swaying overhead from branches older than generations themselves. The plantation venue stood timeless and graceful, wrapped in Southern charm and the kind of elegance that only the Lowcountry offers.
Murrells Inlet has a way of slowing everything down. Tidal creeks shimmer. The Intercoastal waterway glows, its mirror-like surface reflecting light with an almost blinding brilliance. The breeze carries hints of saltwater and magnolia. Even the light photographs differently there, softer, warmer, almost reverent. It was the perfect setting for a couple whose relationship stands as deeply rooted as the stately oaks lining the property.
One of the most emotional moments of the day came during the couple’s git exchange. Tristan gave Kirstyn a beautiful, delicate cross necklace with a simple but powerful message: “I prayed for you”.
Honestly, that phrase became the heartbeat of the entire day.
You could see it woven into every detail; in the way they looked at one another during the prayer, in the peaceful steadiness of their ring exchange, and in the undeniable grace surrounding them. This wasn’t a wedding built on chemistry or chance. This was a partnership anchored in faith, patience, and purpose.
The entire celebration felt like heaven sent answered prayers.
From the moment Kirstyn walked beneath the moss draped oaks, radiant in joy, to the couple’s final send off beneath the Lowcountry skies, every part of the day reflected something deeper than romance. Devotion. Commitment. A love story written in intention.
As the sun slipped over the marsh and the evening air turned golden, I found myself pausing behind the camera more than once just to take it all in. The laughter of life-long friends. Family and friends sharing in the joy. Parents watching their children begin a new chapter. Quiet prayers whispered together. Hands held tightly through every moment.
Some love stories make waves. Theirs felt more like the tides; steady, faithful, and guided by something greater.
Kristyn and Tristan, thank you for allowing me to be part of a day that was not only stunning, but deeply meaningful. Your wedding was a reminder that the best love stories are often often the ones patiently prayed into existance.
And under those grand Southern oaks, with a hint of salt in the air, love graced two people in love. And the two became one.
Enjoy a small peek into their magical day.
